PROJECT OVERVIEW
Pranic Evolutions is a UK-based non-profit organization dedicated to offering practical, predominantly visual lessons that empower individuals worldwide to become effective energy healers.
THE CHALLENGE
Aspiring and practising energy healers face significant financial barriers due to the high costs of traditional education and certification programs, including tuition, materials, workshops, and travel. The scarcity of affordable alternatives and global income disparities further limit access, creating a divide that prevents talented individuals from pursuing their calling and restricts the reach of energy healing to communities in need.
THE SOLUTION
As the sole product designer for this project, my solution was to redesign the Pranic Evolutions website to break down financial barriers by offering free and affordable visual lessons. This approach aimed to promote accessibility and inclusivity, making resources available to aspiring and practicing energy healers worldwide. The redesign centered on three primary objectives:
Brand Visibility & Awareness: Elevating the organization's presence and ensuring its mission resonates with a global audience.
Enhanced User Experience: Creating an intuitive, engaging platform that meets user needs seamlessly.
Universal Education: Providing accessible learning opportunities for energy healers at all stages of their journey.
THE PROCESS
The design process began with an in-depth analysis of the existing single-page website, which inadequately conveyed the organisation's value. Through qualitative research interviews with the founder of Pranic Evolutions, I identified key challenges faced by both aspiring and practicing energy healers. These findings informed the creation of detailed user personas, journey maps, and a competitive analysis, resulting in a design uniquely tailored to the needs of these user groups. The redesign strategy was structured to be implemented within a 10-month timeframe, ensuring the completion of all redesign efforts. Collaborative engagement with team members, especially software engineers, ensured the solution was both user-centered and technically feasible. This was how I solved the organizational problem through design:
Understanding the problem and organisational goal: To design with purpose and clarity, I first engaged with the founder of the organisation to understand why the redesign was necessary, what they aimed to achieve through the redesign, and where design could create impact.
Clarify any assumptions: Since this was a project I designed from scratch I had my own assumptions on what energy healers do and what they need of which i clarified with the founder as the primary stakeholder.
Wireframing: With a clear understanding of user needs and stakeholder goals, the next step was to structure the platform in a way that supports intuitive navigation and purposeful content flow. During this phase I collaborated closely with two developers to discuss technical constraints, feasibility, information architecture and wireframes that aligned with backend capabilities and CMS limitations. This communication helped us design and build a scalable, accessible and aligned experience.




Based on all the research and the countless stakeholder discussions and collaboration with the team, this is the final design is based these following principles I applied:
FINAL DESIGN
Minimalism as the core principle: The new redesign embraced minimalism as its guiding principle, focusing on clean, uncluttered layouts that enhance clarity and usability. By prioritizing essential content and intuitive navigation, the design eliminates distractions, creating a seamless experience for users. This approach not only highlights the organization's value but also ensures a modern and visually appealing interface that aligns with user needs and expectations.

A cohesive and clean design language: The redesign adopted a cohesive and clean language to ensure visual harmony across all elements. By utilizing consistent typography, balanced layouts and a refined color palette, the design fosters an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experience. This approach reinforces the brand's identity while creating a seamless and professional look and feel throughout the platform.

Brand visibility & awareness: The redesign focused on creating a logo that reflects the mission, values, and connection to energy healing. The design emphasizes simplicity, symbolism, and memorability to ensure the logo resonates with the target audience. By aligning the logo with the overall visual identity, it serves as a powerful tool to establish a recognizable and cohesive brand presence across digital platforms,.

Free universal education: As part of the redesign, we prioritized making educational content accessible to a diverse, global audience by offering free universal education in five official languages. This multilingual approach ensures that the aspiring and practising energy healers from various regions can easily access and engage with the material. With plans for continuous expansion, additional languages will be added to further broaden the platform's reach, promoting inclusivity and enabling users worldwide to benefit from the educational resources provided.

Light and dark mode: Based on insights gathered from user research interviews I conducted with the founder and the team, I identified that features such as dark mode could significantly enhance user engagement upon the platform's release. By offering users the flexibility to swith between light and dark modes, we can improve accessibility and cater to individual preferences, resulting in a more personalized and enjoyable experience.

Signing up/Joining the organisation The sign-up process is designed to be straightforward and includes offering users the option to join the organisation either as a healer or by contributing skills such as translation, administrative support, and more. This flexibility allows individuals to contribute in ways that align with their expertise and interests, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The process is seamless and user-friendly, ensuring that potential members can easily engage with the organisation, and become part of its mission.



KEY LEARNINGS
The Pranic Evolutions redesign taught me the importance of balancing user needs with technical constraints to create a functional, intuitive, and accessible platform. Collaboration with engineers was crucial for feasibility. Moving forward, I plan to gather user feedback, expand multilingual capabilities, and continuously improve content to better serve a global audience. This process emphasized the value of continuous iteration and user-centered design.
